Welcome back to Random Trails. In the last chapter the family aged and skilled.
Yaqub is working on his alchemy skill so that he’s ready to go when he becomes a YA.
They had a decent bit of money still around so I upgraded a bathroom and fully decorated it.
Enzo working on his homework per his wishes while Dovasary works on her painting for her career.
She’s still the resident repair person.
Mzia and Myles playing chess together.
Enzo playing dolls by himself.
Sarai working on one of numerous reports she wrote in a futile attempt to keep that metric positive. Whomever designed that metric obviously wanted Sims to only do it one way and one way only and not through any other method. I could understand it being slower, but to have it so stunted that you can never get it in the green ever is ridiculous.
Sarai’s constant use of the computer when she’s not at work, eating, sleeping, or taking care of other needs has broken the computer.
Sarai and Myles still do find time to be a loving couple.
Sizwe and Enzo goofing off together.
Mzia working on her guitar skill so she’s ready when she becomes a young adult.
Enzo and Sizwe working on their homework.
Enzo aged to teen that night, but I didn’t get a picture of it. His teen trait is Neurotic.
It was at this point that they had some money and I realized that the family of nine needed more than two bathrooms. So I gave them a third bathroom.
This is the current layout of the house.
As you can see I’ve also upgraded the “family room” area of the main room and I’ve moved Dovasary’s room up to across from the boys’ room and moved the toddler toys to Dovasary’s old room.
More stuff breaking.
I will probably replace the food processor, stove, dishwasher, and trash compactor later on when I get back to working on the kitchen/dining area as the future look doesn’t really fit in with the house.
When I began the upgrade of the family room area, I gave them a video game console. They are addicted to it.
Sarai then got an opportunity that involved befriending a Sim. I would have declined it if it meant running around and messing with NRaas mods to get her to be interactable at all.
This was the third lot I had to chase this Sim to during the process of getting them to be friends.
Mzia aged to young adult and she’s gorgeous. She would probably be heiress if I wasn’t going for patriarchy. And if not for the name game portion of it, would probably have contributed to the number of kids if I didn’t roll just one kid for the random legacy as she is one of the helpers for the next generation.
Her young adult trait is Unlucky and her LTW is to be a Rock Star. She is seen here going off to join the Music career.
See what I mean by addicted?
For once not glued to the console.
Livna practicing her magic. I’m a bit sad that only Livna and Sizwe got the witch gene while the remaining four got the imaginary friend gene.
Enzo in the back waving a party favor around in the air while Sizwe ages to teen.
His teen trait is Gatherer.
These four autonomously came home and started their homework.
Livna on the other hand, decided she’d rather play computer games.
And I finished upgrading the “family room” area of the house.
The dishwasher broke again.
This time I had Mzia fix it. Because she’s Unlucky and can’t die of anything but old age.
She then got abducted by aliens.
Later that week, Mzia had her graduation.
Luzia, being a teenager, put a whoopy cushion in the chair and it took awhile, but Sizwe finally set it off.
And finally Yaqub aged to young adult, bringing an end to generation 1.
His young adult trait is Family Oriented and his LTW is Alchemy Artisan.
And time to announce the official rolls for the second generation:
- Marital Status: Full House
- Heir and 3 others – player gets to determine if it’s couple and 2 help or 3 help
- Mzia and Enzo will fill 2 of the spots, Yaqub’s spouse will take the 3rd.
- Careers:
- Yaqub’s – Alchemist
- Mzia’s – Rock Star
- Enzo’s – Education
- Yaqub’s Spouse – Genuine Psychic
- Generation Goal: Photogenic
- 5 pictures of the heir with one of those portraits being of them before they turn YA, 1 picture of their spouse, and 1 picture of each of their kids
- It’s why you’ve seen a picture of Yaqub hung up in the boys’ room.
- Miscellaneous Fun: Identity Crisis
- A trait must conflict with the Sim’s chosen career.
- Yaqub’s conflict trait is Ambitious. It will cause problems due to the career choice as I’m never very good about topping self employed careers in a timely manner.
And I’ve actually updated the points page this time so go check that page out as well.
